The Cochin Golf Club, established in 1922 is located at the historically significant Bolgatty Palace grounds. The splendid Bolgatty Palace on the Bolgatty Island, built in 1722 A.D is among the oldest existing palaces built by Dutch in India. In 1909 the palace and the grounds were leased to the British and it became the official home for the governors and residents.
